Dr. David Grubbs, assistant professor of English, interviewed Dr. Kevin Vanhoozer for the Christian Humanist Profiles podcast regarding Vanhoozer’s recent book, Biblical Authority after Babel: Retrieving the Solas in the Spirit of Mere Protestant Christianity (Brazos Press, 2016). Though many today question Protestantism’s long-term viability, Vanhoozer argues that the key to Protestantism’s reinvigoration may be found in its roots, in the sola statements associated with the Protestant Reformers. Dr. Kevin Vanhoozer is research professor of systematic theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School; a widely-respected Evangelical theologian, he has twice won the Christianity Today Book Award for best book in theology: The Drama of Doctrine (2006) and Faith Speaking Understanding (2015).
