Ritamarie Tauer, Associate Provost for Operations, is featured on Think About It

As Associate Provost for Operations, Ms. Ritamarie Tauer reports directly to the University Provost. Working in concert with the Provost, Ms. Tauer is responsible for leadership, direction and support of Institutional Research and Effectiveness, Compliance Support, the Library, and the Office of Academic Records. In addition, Ms. Tauer serves as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), Accreditation Liaison. In this role, she is responsible for ensuring that compliance with accreditation requirements is incorporated into the planning and evaluation process of the institution, notifying the Commission of substantive changes, familiarizing faculty, staff, and students with the Commission’s accrediting policies and procedures, and coordinating the preparation of the Annual Profiles, Fifth-Year Interim Report, and Decennial Reaffirmation Certification required by the Commission. Prior to her role as Associate Provost, Ms. Tauer served as the Dean of the College of Continuing Studies. She oversaw the development of this new College, including the selection and oversight of a committee to determine the feasibility of opening this College, developing on-campus and online courses, recruiting and hiring College instructors, securing partnerships with leaders in the continuing studies industry, and marketing the College to the community.
