Research Interests

His master’s thesis was titled, “A Linguistic Argument for a Covenantal Reading of Πίστις Χριστοῦ.” His research interests include the effect of theoretical linguistics on biblical exegesis and faith language in Paul.

Additional Information

Richard has worked in ministry since 2013. He served in college ministry until he completed his  undergraduate, at which point he moved to Houston to help pastor a church. He currently oversees the Connections, Small Groups, and Hospitality ministries at the Vineyard Church of Sugar Land. Up until starting at HCU, Richard was also a Hospice Chaplain.

As the Faculty-in-Residence, Richard and his wife, Abigail, live on campus for the purpose of building community among and mentoring students. They  enjoy hiking, cooking, and regular walks with their dog.
