Career Resources for HBU Alumni

As you discover more about God’s call on your life, the Office of Career and Calling wants to help you learn about yourself and your career options. Below are some available services and resources for you.

  • Hire A Husky

If you have never used Hire a Husky, we advise you to use the guide to get familiarized with the system. We encourage all students and alumni to sign in to the Hire a Husky job database and to upload your resume, cover letter, and anything else pertinent to your job search. These documents can be viewed by registered employers who are seeking to hire a HBU student or alumnus. All resumes will be reviewed by a Career Counselor before being approved for employers to view. If the resume is not approved, the student or alumnus will be contacted via email regarding ways it can be improved. Employers from various fields use this database to post internships, volunteer, part-time, and full-time job opportunities. Students and Alumni are also able to schedule appointments with Career Counselors via their  Hire a Husky  accounts. Just click the Make Appointment tab on the left side of the home page.

  • Personality and Interest Assessments

The Office of Career and Calling offers the  Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Strong Interest Inventory (SII), and StrengthsQuest assessments. There is a slight fee to cover the cost of each assessment.  Contact the Office of Career and Calling to make an appointment.

  • Career Resources

Students and alumni are encouraged to explore their interests, skills, and values in order to make effective career decisions and develop action plans for the future. The Office of Career and Calling offers resume critiques, mock interviews, advice on personal statements, internship and job search assistance, and a host of other services. For more information, please contact the Office of Career and Calling.
