Freshman Council

Purpose

Freshman Council acts an entry-level leadership organization at Houston Baptist University that brings together a diverse group of student leaders. The Freshman Council prepares members for further involvement in the Student Government Association, Student Programming Board, and other leadership positions on campus. Our Freshman Council invokes principles of hard work, leadership, and service to humanity. During the school year, the group meets weekly to discuss and plan events for the student body.

Are you interested in joining a freshman-oriented organization? Apply to be in the Freshman Council today! The Freshman Council is an organization that accepts 10-16 first-year college students to design programs, events, and activities for freshman and the campus of HBU.

  • Include: brief description and do not disclose scholarship amounts
  • Include: HBU Activities and Campus Organizations that you are interested in - tell us why you are interested in them
  • Include: brief description and what you gained from the experience
