“HCU is my second home. My heart most definitely belongs to HCU. Being a military child has its ups and down. Living in foreign country for nearly 10 years of my life made me absolutely afraid to go to college on my own in the states. I decided to try at least a couple of schools even through the nerves; I attended HCU for a fall preview. Whilst here, every step I took comforted me. I met my professors, met my now best friend, and I felt at home. Everything was falling into place. God put my heart at ease. When arriving here, I was officially excited to gain a new family away from home. I felt as if this was where I was meant to be. HCU is not only filled with hard working students, faculty, and staff. But also filled with God loving people. I feel safe to say that I love Jesus and I can actually make A’s while doing that! It’s a sweet set up! I have the amazing opportunity to pour into younger students and also learn from them. I have the ability to go to my professors and ask them to pray for me when I am in need; I also have all my friends that I consider family. And that is what makes it feel like home. I’m honored to tell you the amazingness that is HCU. This place has truly been a blessing to me and I even though I have one more year left, I don’t ever want to leave.”
