Houston Baptist University and the Office of Student Involvement are looking into creating a Parent and Family Association for parent and family members of HBU students to have a place for them to get more involved with our university and their student’s journey in college. If you are familiar with a PTA (Parent Teacher Association) or a Booster club in K-12, it will be very similar to that structure. The Parent and Family Association will meet a few times a semester as well as plan at least one event per semester.
For this semester, being a part of the Parent and Family Association is FREE and enables you to take part in not only planning an event for HBU Students on campus but also establishing what the Parent and Family Association looks like. We will have our inaugural meeting in October, to be announced via email at a later date.
