School of Fine Arts Concerts and Events

The School of Fine Arts features a plethora of performing organizations and cultural events that appeal to all branches of the fine arts. Each department within the School of Fine Arts offers events to benefit both the University and the community.

Concerts by the select Schola Cantorum vocal ensemble, University Singers and the Symphonic Band , as well as student and faculty recitals, are held in the Morris Cultural Arts Center. Students in these groups have performed across the country and collaborated with the Houston Symphony under University guidance. Our music department also showcases a Létourneau pipe organ, which is housed in the Belin Chapel of the Morris Cultural Arts Center.

As part of our commitment to the visual arts, our Fine Arts Museum and two galleries include state-of-the art exhibition space and rotating exhibits by our faculty, students and regional artists.

Theatrical productions and Improv by the student-led Rex Fleming Players is completely student-run and involves students of all majors and interests working together to provide quality entertainment through acting, writing, and directing, as well as technical support, all under the guidance of a faculty adviser.

All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
