Christian Studies (minor)

This Christian Studies minor is an opportunity for students in non-ministry majors to still become equipped to serve the body of Christ in whatever setting God calls you. Christian Studies will give you a solid Christian foundation in Biblical Studies, Theology, and Christian History to supplement your major.

The Christian Studies minor includes a broad overview of Christian history and theology. It is 18 credit hours-long with courses in New Testament Theology, Old Testament Theology, History of Christianity, Hermeneutics, Systematic Theology, and the Senior Seminar. You can also choose from a wide variety of electives to tailor your studies to your interests, such as Jesus and the Gospels, Romans, the Christian Vocation, Revelation, Homiletics, Paul and His Letters, Isaiah, the Reformation, and Spiritual Formation.

If you are interested in majoring in Christianity and receiving practical ministry training, visit the Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry degree. You can also follow your Christian Studies degree with graduate studies in our Master of Arts in Theological Studies (MATS), Master of Arts in Christian Leadership (MACL), or a Master of Divinity (MDiv).
