Trent Herman, Head Volleyball Coach at HCU is featured on Think About It

Trent Herman has been HCU’s Head Volleyball Coach for a decade. The 2021 season was his most successful, as the Huskies tied for the most wins (21) and posted the highest winning percentage (.700) during his tenure. HCU also had its best season since joining the Southland Conference in 2013, going 12-2 and finishing second as Herman was named the league’s Coach of the Year. The Huskies, led by five all-conference selections, also made their first postseason appearance since returning to NCAA Division I with an automatic bid to the National Invitational Volleyball Championship. In his first season in 2012, Herman led the Huskies to a share of the Great West Conference regular-season title and was named GWC Co-Coach of the Year. Herman now has a 212-171 overall career record, including a 169-138 mark at HCU. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Fort Hays State in 1999.
