Dr. John Tyler, HCU professor of Law and Jurisprudence, as well as director of the Legal Studies Program, practiced as an attorney in Texas for 35 years, even arguing as lead counsel in two cases before the US Supreme Court. He earned a PhD in Philosophy; his writing and teaching emphasize the political, moral and historical dimensions of law that formed the Western legal tradition. He is involved in HCU’s pre-law program and the Morris Family Center for Law and Liberty.
