Culture Influencer: Renae Schumann

SchumannDr. Renae Schumann, Dean of the School of Nursing & Allied Health, was invited to serve on the planning and curriculum committees, as well as to present at the conference, “Diversifying the Nursing Workforce: Mentoring for Student Retention and NCLEX Success at Hispanic-Serving Institutions,” which was held virtually February 11-12, 2021. Program sponsors were The Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action, an initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Office of Minority Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the National Association of Hispanic Nurses. Another sponsor, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Office of Diversity and Inclusion, invited Dr. Schumann to participate on the committees and to present two separate workshops.
