Houston Baptist University is proud to host the Third Annual Author Celebration on Wednesday, April 24, featuring HBU faculty, student and alumni authors and editors. The 11 a.m. Convocation (chapel service) in Dunham Theater will feature a panel of HBU authors moderated by Dr. Robert B. Sloan, HBU president. The Author Celebration will be from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in McNair Hall of the Morris Cultural Arts Center. The events are free and open to the public; refreshments will be provided.
Featured authors represent a diverse set of fields, from fiction to education, business, Christian theology and apologetics, and more. Distinguished authors/editors and their books include Nancy Pearcey, “Love Thy Body: Answering Hard Questions About Life and Sexuality”; Dr. Ernest Liang, “Christianity in Business: Applying Biblical Values in the Marketplace”; Dr. Jerry Walls, “Two Dozen (or so) Arguments for God: The Plantinga Project”; and Dr. Louis Markos, “Atheism on Trial: Refuting the Modern Arguments Against God.”
