In January 2018, assistant professor of Cinema and New Media Arts, Jesse GrothOlson, and seven students from the Cinema & New Media Arts program, traveled to San Antonio to work on a feature film. “The Challenger Disaster” is the true story of the night before the Challenger explosion in 1986 when a hot-headed engineer leads a desperate attempt to stop the launch. The film explores the subsequent cover-up and whistleblowing. It stars Dean Cain, Glen Morshower, Eric Hansen and Les Miles.
