"More Than Home" Short Documentary Produced by Students from HBU's Cinema & New Media Arts Receive Gold Remi Award

More Than Home, the documentary produced by the Cinema & New Media Arts program last year, won the Gold Remi Award at the Houston International Film Festival on April 29, 2017. The short film explores homelessness in Houston, featuring interviews with a number of local organizations, shelters, and leaders. Produced, written, and directed by CNMA students, More Than Home was completed through an Advanced Production course led by Professors Jesse GrothOlson and Joshua Sikora. The film is the first official production of the CNMA program and recently had an encore presentation at this year’s HBU Film Festival, May 5, 2017. Additional presentations to come this fall.
