The HBU men’s basketball program will hold its HBU Tip-Off Club Third Annual Kickoff Event beginning at 11am prior to the Saturday, October 24th home football game against Southeastern Louisiana.
Lunch will be served from 11:30am to 12:45pm, followed by a short program, before heading over to Husky Stadium for the game.
This year’s featured speaker is ESPN basketball analyst Jeff Van Gundy. Van Gundy is also the former head coach of the New York Knicks (1996- 2001) and the Houston Rockets (2003-07), leading his teams to nine playoff appearances, including an NBA Finals appearance with the Knicks in 1999.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the 2015-16 Huskies squad and head coach Ron Cottrell, who is entering his 25th season at the helm of HBU basketball, will deliver his outlook for the upcoming campaign.
