One Family’s History
The next room offers another sharp contrast: a long case full of beautifully preserved ferrotypes, daguerreotypes, and photographs—generations of one family’s history and the jewelry the women were wearing in each image. The exhibit is captivating and captures one’s imagination with its scope and beauty. The JoAnn Moore Collection chronicles a family who moved to Texas in the 1830s. The same room also features a beautiful grand piano to symbolize the gentility of the time.
