Teaching Focus

In church settings, Lora has taught and developed curriculum in the areas of biblical literacy, church history, apologetics, spiritual formation, counseling and prayer. Her primary focus at HCU is Spiritual Formation and the development of current and future church leaders.

While at HCU, Lora has served to build community and networking opportunities among the women in the Houston Theological Seminary in the form of retreats, dinners, book clubs and other various opportunities for women to connect with each other in the School of Christian Thought. She also organizes opportunities for faculty/student prayer and worship.

Additional Information

Lora currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Sanctuary Foster Care Services that works to stop the cycle of multiple placements that so severely hurts children in care. She has served as a church staff member and on the staff of an international para-church organization in Houston. She also serves as a speaker at women’s retreats and conferences.
