Teaching Focus

Professor Bilyeu’s primary teaching focus is graduate-level printmaking. She also teaches courses in graduate and undergraduate art history and studio visual art.

Additional Information

While at HBU, professor Bilyeu serves on MFA selection committees and graduate critique review committees for MFA Candidates. Apart from her teaching duties, she serves as the Director of the HBU Fine Arts Museum. While also serving as MFA Advisor, Kathy helps lead marketing and recruiting for the Visual Arts Department.

Kathy continues to work as a professional artist. She is an active painting and printmaking artist in the Houston visual arts community. Her artwork has been showcased in local, regional, and international art exhibitions including Houston, Galveston, Hampton Roads and Isle of Wight, Virginia, Naples, Gaeta, and Caserta Italy, and Salzwedel, Germany. Kathy’s artwork resides in private collections in the United States, Italy, Germany, and France.
