Courses Taught

Professor Johnson’s primary teaching focus is her Composition and Literature II course, which is a special emphasis course focusing on African American authors and literature.

Courses taught include:

    • Basic Grammar and Composition
    • Composition and Literature I
    • Composition and Literature II
    • Freshman Year Seminar

Teaching Focus

Her research interests include Literary Criticism with a focus on Psychoanalytic Criticism and African American Literature.

Additional Information

Professor Johnson served as a member of the faculty Christian discipleship cohort on “Christ in Creation,” the Core Curriculum Review Team, and the “Pups to Huskies” FYS Fall 2022 Planning Team.  In addition to these initiatives, she also serves the university as an advisor for students who have selected Interdisciplinary Studies as their major.

She enjoys spending quality time with her family and close friends, the theater, 80s movies, creative non-fiction, and crime television shows.
