Teaching Focus

Dr Van Caemelbecke’s teaching focuses on teaching basic chemical concepts to nurses and more advances chemical principles and modern analytical techniques to students majoring in Chemistry.

Additional Information

Dr. Van Caemelbecke is an active member of the Welch program at HBU and periodically recruits chemistry majors to carry out research at HBU or UH. He also periodically contacts chemical companies to find internship positions for chemistry majors.

Dr. Van Caemelbecke has been an author or coauthor of 91 publications (including a few reviews), most of which have been published in peer-reviewed journals of the American Chemical Society. He has also presented several papers during international conferences in the area of Porphyrins and Metal-Metal bonded complexes.
