Scholarship

Dr. Wilson has presented and published widely on American Literature on topics ranging from early American novelists to the Transcendentalists to Modernists such as F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway. She is a frequent essayist for The Houston Chronicle, Houstonia Magazine, and The Houston Press, among other publications.

Dr. Wilson sponsors the HCU Alpha Lambda chapter of Alpha Chi, a national honor society that admits juniors and seniors from all academic disciplines.

Dr. Wilson has also chaired the Search Committee for a professor of 18th Century Literature for the Department of Languages here at Houston Christian University.

Dr. Wilson has taught at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Elon University, the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and the University of Saint Thomas.
