About the Center for Christianity in Business

Christian Values, World-Class Leadership

The Center for Christianity in Business (CCB) is an educational and community outreach effort for the Archie W. Dunham College of Business at Houston Christian University. We’re in the business of empowering future and current leaders in the corporate world!

The CCB was created as a valuable resource in applying the practical application of biblical values and principles to business affairs. It’s based on the vision that ALL Christian business leaders and professionals can serve as ministers of God’s Church so that they can become “the light of the world” (Matt. 5:14-16).

To accomplish these objectives, the CCB has set out to bring students, educators, policymakers, business executives, and professional practitioners together in a series of forums. Topics include:

  • Research Initiatives
  • High-Impact Events
  • Mentoring Exercises
  • Communication Channels
  • Consultative Activities
  • Educational Programs

By delving into these topics, we hope to precipitate a renewed awareness that business is a divine ordinance that can bring about purpose and fulfillment in the sharing of great ideas.

Our Purpose, Vision, and Strategy

The Vision

The CCB is working hard to become a recognized leader in the integration of Christian faith and business within the local, regional, national, and global business spheres.

We’re in the process of transforming Christian students and those new to the business world into leaders in their own right. These bright and effectual people will be in a position to share spiritual, physical, intellectual and financial wealth with the world while upholding Christian values.

Our Strategies

The objectives of the CCB are delivered through integrated efforts in research, communication and education. Research provides the intellectual platform for continued and productive dialogue among academics and business practitioners. Through multiple channels, participants share their insights and experience with the Center’s varied constituency. Our education element delivers proven methodology and best practices to students who are anxious to learn the practical application of biblical principles.
