The MS in Human Resources Management (HRM) curriculum provides students with a strategic business perspective. Students gain an understanding of the core processes of business organizations, and the ability to effectively apply the theories and principles of contemporary human resources management for improving individual and organizational performance, as well as a grounding in the ethical considerations relevant to the business decisions HR professionals are asked to make.

The MS in HRM offers a global view of the HRM function and helps students appreciate the impact that HR changes can have on the organization. The curriculum and course content continue to evolve to provide students with the latest and most valuable knowledge and skills needed by high-performing HR professionals.

HBU’s MS in HRM program is recognized as being fully aligned with the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) HR Curriculum Guidebook. The program was first certified in 2015 and earned recertification in December 2020. This recognition indicates the level of the excellence that the program delivers in preparing students for careers as Human Resource professionals.

Students without requisite undergraduate coursework will take leveling courses (12 hours). Transcripts will be evaluated for leveling equivalents. There are 36 semester hours of core classes. Each class meets one night per week.
