How do I check in for a tour?
Upon arrival please park in the future Husky parking spot and call 281-649-3834 to let us know you have arrived for your tour. An ambassador will meet you at the Campus Tours Start Here flag.
If I have documents to turn in, what are the procedures?
The ambassador will put on a pair of gloves, collect the documents from you, and store the documents in a drop box that will not be touched for 72 hours.
What should I bring with me to a campus visit?
A mask, a bottle of water (tour is held outside), and any documentation you may need to submit.
What will I see on the tour?
Each building will be shown on the tour, however certain areas of campus can be shown via iPad or using your cellphone.
Can my parents come with me?
Only two guests can attend the campus tour with the visiting student.
Can I sit in on a class?
No, due to the pandemic, HBU will not have extra seating available in the classroom.
Will I see a classroom on the tour?
A classroom will be shown via IPad due to the practicing of social distancing.
Will we be able to eat on campus after the tour?
No, after the tour it is a requirement that the student and their guests return to their vehicle.
Can I visit the bookstore after the tour?
Due to the pandemic, no one is allowed inside. To preview what is in the bookstore, please visit www.hbubookstore.com.
Can I meet with an admissions counselor, professor, or another HBU faculty member?
There will be no in person appointments. All meetings will be scheduled via Zoom (register here).
Can I go inside the residential halls during my tour?
All tours will preview the outside of the residence halls. During your campus tour, you may request a tour of the inside.
Are face coverings required?
Yes, while on campus, a face covering should always be worn.
How will you facilitate social distancing during a tour?
For the safety of the family as well as the staff, only one family per tour is allowed. In total, there should be four people: the ambassador, the student, and the two guests of the student.
If I am not feeling well, will I be able to reschedule my tour time?
Yes, you may go to hbu.edu/visit or call 281-649-3003 to schedule for a later date.
Are the tours only for high school seniors right now, or can any grade levels attend?
Any high school aged student can schedule an on campus tour via hbu.edu/visit.
Have the admissions office hours been affected by the pandemic?
No, our office hours have remained the same: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Campus tours are offered Mondays through Fridays at 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
- Virtual tours are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00 p.m.
- Husky Ambassador chat hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:00 p.m.
