Estimated Cost to Attend
Obtaining a degree is a significant investment in your future and for many families the cost is the determining factor in deciding on where to attend. It would seem that due to the rising cost of higher education earning a college degree at a private institution may seem out of reach however it might be more affordable than you think. Although tuition may seem higher at a private institution you may find that you would pay the same or more if you attended an institution not in your home state which requires you to pay for out-of-state tuition and fees. At a private institution like HBU you are also more likely to receive aid that does not have to be repaid in the form of grants and scholarships. The majority of our students receive some type of institutional aid and many students are eligible for additional assistance from federal aid sources. Houston Baptist University’s Financial Aid Office is available to help you navigate the cost to see how affordable earning a college degree at HBU might be for you. Please review our cost of attendance and financial aid information and if you have additional questions please contact us.
Tuition and Fees
Houston Baptist University’s tuition, fees, room and board rates are set annually and are subject to change. All students pay the same tuition rate regardless of their state of residency. Undergraduate students who are enrolled in 12-18 hours pay a block rate so students are encouraged to take the maximum hours each semester in order to complete their degree on time in order to avoid additional expenses. Students in undergraduate degree programs who are enrolled in less than 12 credit hours are charged on a per credit hour basis and those that are enrolled in more than 18 hours are charged a rate for the additional credit hours as well.
