Position Summary

The School of Education seeks candidates who have credentials and experience in the area of Mathematics Education.


Job Responsibilities

Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the development and education in K-12 Math Education. Other responsibilities include teaching courses as appropriate at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Other duties may include the supervision of student interns, clinical teachers, off-campus and teaching online. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include advising students, orientation and registration of students, participation in University committees, keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance.


Ph.D./Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction or closely related field. Must have academic preparation, at least 18 credit hours, in Math education at the master’s level or higher. Minimum 5 years of public or private school teaching experience in the U.S. in K-12. Texas certification or an equivalent certification in Math Education is preferred.
