The Gideon Institute of Christian Psychology and Counseling seeks candidates who have experience in the area of administrative tasks and support.
Assisting with M.A. program administration, including course scheduling, locating and managing host sites for practicum/internships. Helping with preparation for advisory board meetings, potential donor meetings, and fund-raising events. Helping with organization, publicity, implementation, and oversight of Gideon conferences, seminars, and therapist trainings. Working with relevant HBU personnel and external firms on advertising and publicity for the Gideon programs. Locating appropriate foundations and helping with grant-writing. Building email databases of 1) local pastors, therapists, churches, institutions, and interested laypersons; and 2) persons interested in Christian psychology and counseling, nationally and internationally. Helping with and sending out weekly emails and a quarterly newsletter. Adding new material regularly to the Gideon Institute website approved by others.
The person should be enthusiastic about Christian psychology and counseling. The person has to have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, a knowledge of basic office software, and be able to learn new tasks. Website development experience preferred.
