Continuity of Instruction
Friday, March 13
Dear Faculty and Students,
Have faith and hope in the Lord, “cast all your cares on Him, because He cares for you.” I Peter 5:7. We have a Savior who loves us and who walks with us in the midst of every life storm.
As mentioned in the HBU announcement the University will not hold any residential classes for the week of March 16-21, 2020 on HBU’s campus. Online classes will continue as scheduled.
However, some clinicals and internships will continue at off-site locations during the week of March 16-21, 2020 to meet state certification requirements.
The School of Nursing and Allied Health and the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences will be communicating directly with students as it pertains to clinical instruction and internships. If you are a student enrolled in clinical instruction and/or internships, please review announcements in Blackboard, on the University website, and through HBU email from the respective colleges and schools for information concerning clinical instruction and internships.
Faculty will work during March 16-20, 2020 to prepare for remote delivery of residential classes. The Associate Provost of E-Learning and Continuing Education will be disseminating a separate communication soon for HBU faculty concerning training times.
Students enrolled in residential classes should plan to resume their classes remotely beginning Monday, March 23, 2020. HBU will use the learning management system (LMS), Blackboard, as the primary means for delivering content. To help with efforts to slow the virus, the University is asking that students meet with faculty remotely for concerns about their current spring 2020 classes.
Please also continue to monitor your HBU email, Blackboard and this website for important University updates related to continuing and completing spring 2020 classes.
