The HBU Future Scholars Forum is for high-school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and their parents. This is a free, one-day event that will help you get a head start on succeeding in college.

A dynamic lineup of speakers will explain
  • What you can do now to do well academically later
  • How a liberal arts education relates to your faith
  • What the current challenges facing higher ed and how we can overcome them
  • What HBU means by A Higher Education


Planning for a Career in Law (Or Anything Else) with a Liberal Arts Education

Jodey Hinze, a practicing attorney and the dean of HBU’s Smith College, will speak to parents and students about how his liberal arts education helped him pursue a career in law.

Attitudes, Habits, and Skills: What You Need to Succeed in College

Megan Mueller, the director of HBU’s Academic Success Center, will speak to parents and students about how students can prepare now to succeed academically at the university level.
