About the Center for Christianity in Business
The Center for Christianity in Business (CCB) is an educational and community outreach effort of the School of Business at Houston Baptist University. The CCB is committed to equipping, encouraging, and sharing the witnessing of Christian business leaders in order to exemplify the practical application of Biblical values and principles in the conduct of business affairs. It is based on the vision that all Christian business leaders and professionals should be equipped as ministers of God's Church so that they can become "the light of the world" (Matt. 5:14-16) and that by their good works, the global business community may be redeemed for Christ's Kingdom.
To accomplish these objectives, the CCB intends to bring together students, educators, policymakers, business executives, and professional practitioners (our constituency) in forums that encompass research initiatives, high impact events, mentoring exercises, communication channels, consultative activities, and educational programs. Through these efforts, CCB hopes to occupy a space that is visibly vacant in the realm of today's Christian academic institutions: to precipitate an awakening and a realignment of purpose and spiritual fulfillment for our constituency, so that Christian corporate citizens can regain a proper understanding of business as a divine ordinance.
