regarding Husky Village Apartments:
Can freshmen and sophomores live in Husky Village?
No. Only students with junior class standing or higher can live in Husky Village (64 hours minimum).
I don't have a roommate. Will one be provided?
Campus Living will match you with a roommate as best we can using the information provided on your Housing Application. You also may be contacted by Campus Living staff to provide additional information.
Can I stay in Husky Village through the summer?
Yes, we are open during the summer.
Is an HBU meal plan required?
YES. All on campus residents are required to purchase a meal plan. The Husky 4 Apartment Meal Plan is the minimum requirement for Husky Village residents, but the standard meal plans are available as well.
Are the apartments furnished?
All four bedroom units are furnished. We also offer some two bedroom furnished apartments. Both two and four bedroom units have single-occupancy bedrooms furnished with a bed, a dresser, a desk and chair. The common area in a four bedroom apartment is furnished with a sofa, armchair, coffee table, end table and dining chairs. The living room in a two bedroom apartment is furnished with a loveseat, armchair, two end table and two dining chairs.
Can I drink alcohol in Husky Village?
Our Community Policies as well as the University's Student Code of Conduct specifically state that the consumption of alcohol on campus is strictly prohibited.
Can I smoke in my room?
Effective September 1, 2006, the University prohibits smoking anywhere on University premises except for the confines of private vehicles. Consistent with the University’s commitment to health and wellness education, information regarding cessation programs and the health risks of smoking will be available in the Student Health Center, located on the first floor of The Lake House.
Can I have a pet?
No. Pets are strictly prohibited including cats, dogs, small rodents (for example: mice, rats, sugar gliders), fish, lizards, snakes, turtles, etc.
