Learning Communities are a unique freshman experience that allow you to get connected with other first-year students during the fall semester through taking a common group of courses. Each Learning Community consists of a cluster of three core courses that you will take with 15-20 other freshmen. Included in each cluster is Freshman Year Seminar (FYS), a required course designed to help students discover their strengths and enhance their potential for academic success on the university level. All students are eligible to participate in a Learning Community, regardless of major.
You will have the opportunity to sign up for a Learning Community during SOAR.
