Application for Admission to The Honors College

We invite you to apply for admission into The Honors College at Houston Baptist University by completing the application below. Please check admission requirements and application deadlines. Please note: Students must be admitted first to the university before making application to the Honors College.

There are two ways to file an application for admission to the Honors College.

1. You can cut-and-paste the following questions into your own MSWord document. After you have composed and edited the essays, submit your responses to the committee as an email attachment addressed to HonorsCollege@hbu.edu. (Make sure your first initial and last name appear in the filename; e.g., if your name is Alan Webb, use a filename like HBU honors app AWebb.doc)
2. You can submit an application online. However, please note that there is no save function. Unless you can respond to all the questions in one sitting, we recommend that you answer the questions in your own word processing file and then come back to the online application and cut-and-paste your responses in the space provided.

Either way, we'll get the application and you are one step closer to a great educational experience at HBU.
