The HBU School of Music Audition dates

Fall 2013 & Spring 2014:

• Friday, August 23, 2013

Fall 2014:

• Saturday, March 1, 2014
• Saturday, April 5, 2014
• Saturday, May 3, 2014

For the audition:

• Perform (memorized) classical repertoire for voice, piano or organ at a high level
• Perform (may use music) classical repertoire for band instruments at a high level
• Vocalists - an accompanist will be provided for you
• Guitar students may audition with either jazz or classical guitar repertoire

Audition information:

• Auditions are held on the HBU campus
• Students wishing to major or minor in music are admitted to the School of Music by audition only. 
• Please fill out and submit the online audition form.

Degrees offered:

• Performance
• Music Education
• Theory/Composition
• Church Music
• *Currently, there is no degree in Instrumental Performance

Scholarships:

• Awarded to qualifying students following the auditions
• All scholarships are renewable for four (4) years
• Recipiants must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.1
• Show progress in their applied major performance area
• Fulfill the requirements for ensemble participation and performance
