Monday, February 29, 2016: History & Hymns Concert
Belin Chapel, 7:30 p.m.

HBU's "History & Hymns" concert, a hymn festival celebrating our Christian faith through music, is a wonderful evening that is educational, presentational, and worshipful.  This evening includes congregational singing of hymns, choral anthems, organ and piano arrangements, piano improvisations based on hymns, and vocal solos.  Background for selected hymns will be presented throughout the evening in order to provide historical, political, and spiritual context for each composition.  This event is free and open to the public. Tuesday March 8, 2016: Band Concert
Dunham Theater, 7:30 p.m.

The HBU Symphonic band will present its concert Around The World. The band will be performing musical work by Haydn, Wagner, Vaughn Williams, Sousa and more. The concert will perform different musical styles of the many different cultures around the world.

Friday, April 29, 2016: Choral Concert
Dunham Theater, 7:30 p.m.

Schola Cantorum, HBU's premier choral ensemble, will collaborate with the Houston Civic Symphony to perform Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living. This work, composed in 2013, is a prayer for rest for the living, as much as for the deceased. This stirring performance is a must-see as our academic year comes to a close. This event is free and open to the public.
