Dr. Kuruvilla's teaching focus is financial accounting and auditing. His focus areas include corporate governance and international accounting.
Publications
Dr. Kuruvilla's publications and professional presentations have included work on a comparative study of international accounting and US GAAP, revenue recognition in the technology industry and Sarbanes-Oxley related issues.
Additional Information
Dr. Kuruvilla was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) since June 2008. He was on the Editorial Board of the TSCPA from 2004 - 2009 and was the chair of the Editorial Board for 2008-09. He chaired the annual corporate conference of Asia Society in 2006. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Taurus Quest, a company specializing in accounting services. He has been on the Board of Directors of the Houston Society of Certified Public Accountants since 2008. He has been interviewed several times by local and international media on various business topics.<br />

Dr. Kuruvilla was a Director of KPMG in India from March 2001 to September 2003.
