Mrs. George is focusing her teaching on financial accounting and auditing. Her specialty areas include controls based auditing and auditing information systems.
Additional Information
Mrs. George's goal is to bring real life business accounting/auditing experience to the students.
She has worked for the Governmental Accountability Office (GAO) in Washington D.C. auditing various processes and controls related to information technology for governmental departments and agencies based on congressional requests. Mrs. George spent a majority of her career at PwC LLP, a public accounting firm in the Risk Assurance practice. She has spent that time mastering her audit expertise in business process controls, information technology controls and internal auditing. She has served a broad portfolio of multinational clients, including Fortune 10 companies, by providing audit and consulting services. Mrs. George will utilize her extensive experience to provide students with a working knowledge of what is needed to succeed in the competitive accounting industry.
Mrs. George enjoys spending her time with her husband and two daughters.
