Teaching Focus
Dr. Potter’s teaching is focused on introducing college students to mathematical concepts and analytical thinking through guided discovery. Her areas of specialization are functional analysis and approximation theory.
Additional Information
Her interests include analysis, combinatorics, statistics, and inquiry based learning. She has published papers in multivariate approximation theory and has worked in geophysical software development.
At HBU, Dr. Potter is a member of the Recruiting and Admissions committee. She is also a member of Mathematical Association of America and Association for Women in Mathematics.
Outside of mathematics, Dr. Potter enjoys native and tropical gardening and camping.
