The Speech Communication major has its foundation in the original liberal arts curriculum studied in ancient Greece and Rome. This major will not only improve your communication skills, but will also develop an understanding and appreciation of the importance of public rhetoric in a democratic society.
Our students learn critical thinking, speaking, writing and relationship skills that prepare them to be good citizens of a democratic society.
The major allows graduates to pursue a range of professional interests including law, education, politics, religion, business, and non-profit work.
