The School of Nursing and Allied Health is currently seeking faculty in Kinesiology who are passionate about teaching and student learning in a Christian work environment. With the growth of our programs and the HBU student population as a whole, we are preparing to offer a wider variety of sections at the undergraduate level. Rank is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
In accordance with program objectives, policies and procedures, the faculty member is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating classroom experiences for students in a designated content area as per University policy. Assessment of student performance utilizes the process of making practice judgments. In addition, faculty competence is to be maintained through continuing education, scholarly activity, and/or practice. The Professor in Kinesiology is responsible directly to the Dean for coordinating learning activities within a particular content area in accord with the total program of studies, and expertise in selected areas to enhance student learning.
Applicants must have an earned doctorate degree in Kinesiology or related field. We are currently seeking faculty who can teach one or more courses in Biomechanics, Motor Learning, Wellness Programming and Research. Additional responsibilities may include program assessment, committee service, student advising and supervision of Kinesiology student interns.
