Houston Baptist University seeks Adjunct Professors to join the Department of English with expertise in Rhetoric and Communications.
Applicants should have a PhD in Communications or Communication Studies and expertise in Classical Rhetoric. The successful candidates will possess the ability to teach courses in Rhetoric and Communications from a Christian worldview whose foundation is the classical idea of a good man speaking well, who will demonstrate enthusiasm for our classical liberal arts core curriculum which includes embracing the need for these courses to complement each other, and who understands the Communication and Rhetorical tradition as a discipline in the Humanities.
Candidates should be available to begin work in January, 2011. Review of applications will begin by December 5, 2010, and continue until the position is filled.
