Most of us probably don't think much about what the resurrection will be like. We either think of it in a spiritual way or overlook the question altogether. But the early Christians had to face this question head on, and some of them really got hung up on it.

For instance, the Corinthians, most of whom had converted from paganism, thought of the body as an evil to be escaped. Reanimating a corpse, like a zombie, would be a miserable way to exist. That is why Paul went to such great lengths to explain what Christ's physical resurrection means and the transformation from corruption to glory that our bodies will undergo.
