Mock trial team earns fifth consecutive spot in National Tournament’s opening round

"An Act of Providence" wins writing award for institutional history

An Act of Providence, the history of HBU's first 50 years compiled and written by Vice President Emeritus Don Looser, has received the History Writing Award for Institutional History from the Texas Baptist Historical Society. HBU acquires wellness center to enhance campus life

Houston Baptist University has acquired the Memorial Hermann Wellness Center as part of an ongoing effort to enrich its total student life experience and build a residential community of learning. The state-of-the-art fitness center, which will be known as HBU’s Bradshaw Fitness Center, is located adjacent to the HBU campus on property that fronts the Southwest Freeway.

Williams family donates Chinese Bibles to Dunham Bible Museum

Dr. Diane and Stanley Williams, longtime friends and supporters of HBU, donated two unique Bibles - the 80 millionth Bible printed by Amity Press in Nanjing, China, and a special edition of the four Gospels printed to commemorate the 2008 Beijing Olympics - to the Dunham Bible Museum on Dec. 14, 2011.
