Houston Baptist University also holds membership in the Association of Texas Colleges and Universities and is approved by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for the preparation of teachers for elementary and secondary schools at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Its undergraduate degree programs in nursing are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) and the Texas Board of Nursing. The School of Business is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
